As Underwriting Counsel for FNTA, Mr. Elkins is charged with providing legal counsel and guidance to the company as it expands its operations to include additional markets. Further responsibilities include coordinating between parties involved in transactions to facilitate title and closing at the national level and assisting in the development and implementation of a new title software program to be used by the company.
He began his career by launching his own law practice in 2012. He represented clients in a range of practice areas including business entity formation, real estate transactions, financial transactions, contract negotiations, and contract disputes. He also has experience in serving as outside counsel to multiple start-ups with a focus on risk management and asset protection associated with the specific needs of each newly formed business.
Mr. Elkins graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School. He is a member of American Bar Association, Texas Bar Association (Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Section), Texas Young Lawyers Association, Austin Bar Association (Real Estate Section), and Austin Young Lawyers Association.
