New York, NY – September 8, 2014 – First Nationwide Title Agency (FNTA) today announced that two more professionals have joined the rapidly growing company, bringing the total number of staff to 34 only slightly more than a year and a half after FNTA was founded.
Dawn Pereyo (46), a well-known and widely-respected industry veteran with more than 24 years of experience, has joined as Director of Title Operations, while Andrew J. Ruppert (31) has come aboard as Senior Title Officer. Both Ms. Pereyo and Mr. Ruppert are based in FNTA’s Uniondale, Long Island branch office.
Prior to joining FNTA, Ms. Pereyo was the Director of Agency Operations and Director of Client Services for Valley Stream, LI-based Sutton Land Title Agency, positions she held since April 2010. During her tenure there, she was responsible for all day-to-day operations as well as underwriter audits, both for New York and the national licenses, in efforts to ensure compliance. Before Sutton, she owned and operated her own title agency, Security Settlement of New York, for nearly ten years.
Ms. Pereyo launched her career as a title closer and sales representative while completing her MA degree in Government and Politics at St. John’s University, the institution where she also earned her undergraduate degree. Ms. Pereyo’s professional affiliations include NYSLTA, where she served formerly on its education committee, and ALTA.
Mr. Ruppert’s focus as a reader will be obtaining clearance of New York and national files. Prior to joining FNTA, Mr. Ruppert was also with Sutton Land Title Agency in the post of National Title Officer, where he was responsible for coordinating, negotiating, structuring and underwriting multistate portfolio transactions. Earlier he was with Garden City-based RELS Title Agency as Title Reader and Clearance Officer, working on commercial and residential real estate abstracts for purchase, refinance and foreclosures. Mr. Ruppert graduated from Austin Community College in Austin, TX, and is currently working on obtaining ALTA certification.
“We are thrilled to welcome such accomplished professionals as Dawn and Andrew to FNTA,” said Steven Napolitano, President and CEO of FNTA.
“Dawn is ideal fit for our culture. Forward-thinking and creative, she has already shared a myriad of ways to enhance our operating efficiencies. And Andrew brings nine years of consistent, diverse title insurance agency experience, he will be a tremendous asset to our team.”
